During his college, he was selected by West Virginia as a freshman in 2005. The most memorable moment was against Louisville, where McAfee played a very good game with Steve Slaton.
After his college football career. He started his professional career in 2009, where he was invited to the Super Bowl, in Alabama. The same year in the NFL draft. He got picked by the Indianapolis Colts in the 7th round.
McAfee has helped the Indianapolis Colts to win the AFC South Championship.
He made his career-best deal by signing a contract for $1.8 million with Indianapolis Colts for four years. Later he played with the team from 2009 to 2016. During this time he has won two Pro Bowls.
It was on February 2, 2017, when McAfee announced his retirement. He gave a cause due to his Knee operation and not so good relation with the Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson. He took this step.
