David Deida Early Life & Education
David Deida’s real name is David Greenberg. He took birth on March 18, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio. He later changed his surname to Deida.
After receiving a National Writing Award in 1974. He attended the University of Florida, through the Florida Scholar Program. During his college he founded Plexus Interdisciplinary Center, researching medicine and consciousness.
He graduated with a degree in Theoretical Psychobiology from the University of Florida in 1982. That year itself he was granted a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego Medical School, for Theoretical Neuroscience.
In 1989, he obtained a Master’s degree in biology from the University of California.
David Deida Career
Deida started at California State University, San Jose, as an instructor in Artificial Intelligence. And was elected as a fellow for the Lexington Institute Boston. From 1976 to 1989, he was involved in research with neuroscientist Francisco Varela.
From 1983 to 2000, he collaborated with a Yoga teacher Sofia Diaz, to develop intimate relationships using yoga techniques.
During the mid-1990s, he started publishing books related to non-dual sexuality, spiritual practice, and sociocultural evolution.
For a couple of years starting from 1986, he studied spirituality from the American Spiritual teacher “Adi Da Samraj”. From 1985 to 1991 he published several papers including “The Indicational Calculus and Trialectics”, “The Form of Duality: Objectification as Implicated Time” and more…
