Robert G. Allen was born in Raymond, Alberta, Canada on May 20, 1948. He is the youngest of two children of the accountant John Leonard and May Leone (Judd) Allen, who died shortly after his birth.
He was raised as a Mormon and served as a missionary in Tahiti for two years.
Allen studied in the United States, earning a bachelor’s degree and an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University before becoming a naturalized United States citizen in 1974.

Allen needed two days to summon the courage to speak with the company’s president, who liked the book and promised to show it to his editors in New York.
Allen received a contract a month later.
He published “Creating Wealth” in 1986, which outlines seven steps to becoming wealthy as well as the importance of maintaining a positive attitude.
Allen chose three unemployed people for a challenge and taught them his techniques for buying property at a below-market price from a seller who is desperate to get rid of the property.
His book “Multiple Streams of Income” outlines ten ways to earn more than $100,000 per year while working from home, part-time, and with little or no investment.
He advises readers on how to make money on the internet in a similar book “Multiple Streams of Internet Income.” He also talks about the use of niche marketing, autoresponders, selling links, etc.
