His mother Suzanne Marie Morrison née Langford is a Canadian journalist who worked as the press assistant for former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. His father John Bennett Perry is a former model and actor.
Perry’s parents divorced when he was just a baby. His mother married Canadian-born television journalist Keith Morrison when Perry was 12. He was taken care of by his mother in Ottawa, Ontario.
He lived temporarily in Toronto and Montreal, Quebec, and attended Rockcliffe Park Public School, alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and later Ashbury College.
