Morant resigned and sent out a tweet with a photo that quickly went viral
Ja Morant agreed to a contract extension with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.
The Grizzlies advanced to the NBA Playoffs’ second round after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves and falling to the Golden State Warriors.
This past season, the 2019 second overall pick had the best year of his young NBA career and was named to the All-Star Game for the first time.
He also led the Grizzlies to the second seed in the Western Conference and the NBA Playoffs’ second round.
In the first round, they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in six games before falling to the Golden State Warriors in the second round (in six games).
Morant was injured near the end of Game 3 and did not play in the series’ final three games.
Despite the severity of the foul, Ja Morant appeared to be fine and even played for a few more minutes.
Seeing Morant take such a hard fall, on the other hand, is never a good sight.
