How Was Nas’s Early Life And Education?

Nas’s real name is Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones. He was born on September 14, 1973, in Brooklyn. Olu Dara Jones, who is his father, is from Mississippi, and Fannie Ann, his mother, is from North Carolina.

His father is a jazz and blues guitarist. His mother is an employee of the US Postal Service. When Nas was a child, his family moved to Queens’ Long Island City neighborhood.

He started to play the trumpet at the age of 4. Nas discovered the then-new genre of rap when he was nine years old. In 1985, his parents divorced.

Nas began recording music as a teenager under the alias “Kid Wave,” with the help of a neighbor who served as his DJ.

Nas worked with Lin-Manuel Miranda and others in November 2016 on the song “Wrote My Way Out,” which was featured in the album “The Hamilton Mixtape.”

He revealed his next album’s name, “King’s Disease,” on August 13. Its sequel, “King’s Disease II,” was released on August 6, 2021. This is his highest-charting album since 2012 and debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200.

Nas released his album “Magic” on December 24. It is his third studio album, executive produced by Hit-Boy, and features appearances by ASAP Rocky and DJ Premier.
