Les Brown’s real name is “Leslie Calvin Brown”. He was born on February 17, 1945, in Miami Florida US. He was born as a twin to a single mother. Her mother put them for adoption. When they were six weeks old. They got adopted by “Mamie Brown”, a 38 years old single mother.
She was working as a domestic assistant and a cafeteria attendant.
When he was in 5th grade he was declared as mentally retarded. Which made him lose his confidence and damage his self-confidence. He didn’t perform well in exams and his confidence went too low. But her mother still understood and took it as her duty.
Her adopted mother and one of the teacher found a positive side of browns and helped him to boost his confidence and the result was he started studying himself.
Career
Les Brown started his career by working as a sanitation worker in a radio station. He was very determined and hard-working. At the radio station, he has learned the skill required to be a radio jockey. He started developing his skills for that purpose.
