Kendall Gill was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 25, 1968. Not much is known about his parents, but he does have a sibling called Keith Gill.
He completed his schooling at Rich Central High School. After graduating, he led his school team to finish second in States boys basketball tournaments.
Later, he attended the University of Illinois where he joined the college basketball team. Where he played for Fighting Illini for four years. Along with the future NBA players, Kenny Battle, Marcus Liberty, Nick Anderson, and Stephen Bardo.
Career
Gill started his career as an NBA Draft in 1990 as the 5th pick for Charlotte Hornets. After signing the rookie contract, Gill was given the First Team All-Rookie title. He averaged around 20 points per game, during his three seasons at the Hornets.
In 1993, he shifted to the Seattle SuperSonics team for two seasons. He returned to play for the Hornets for one season.
In 1996 Gill became a member of the New Jersey Net, he stayed with the team until 2001. He secured 11 steals in the game against the Miami Heat, setting a single-game record, in 1999.
After 2001, Gill came to be known as the journeyman, as he switched between several teams in five years. He started with the Miami Heat from 2001 to 2002. His next season was with the Minnesota Timberwolves, after which he shifted to Chicago Bulls, and finally spent the season with the Milwaukee Bucks from 2004 to 2005.
He completed his professional basketball journey with 12,914 points, 4,002 rebounds, and 1,519 steals in 966 regular-season games.
Even after his retirement, Gill remained in the sports industry as a Boxer, entering the professional ranks. He eventually began to work as a television basketball analyst for the Chicago Bulls broadcasts on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. Later, he was also hired by NBA and CSN.
