DrDisrespect’s real name is Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV. He was born on March 10, 1982, in the U.S.
He went to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and graduated in 2005. During his college days, he was an active basketball player, where he played for NCAA Division II basketball.
Career
He began by posting his first video on YouTube. Showing the gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, on January 11, 2010. He was regular with his content and was featured in multiple videos of “Machinima”, a gaming channel.
In 2011, he went inactive from YouTube and did not release any content for nearly five years. The same year on March 16, he joined Sledgehammer Games as a community manager. He was promoted to the level designer, where he created multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
While working at Sledgehammer, Beahm joined Justin.tv (Now Twitch). In 2015, he left the job to focus full-time on the streaming career.
He started growing his followers after playing Battle Royale games, starting with H1Z1, then moved to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and then switched to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
