How Was Daniel Theis Early Life and Education?
Daniel Theis was born in Salzgitter, Germany, on April 4, 1992. Where he was a part of the Braunschweig Youth Program, a youth program of this basketball club in Germany, where he learned the basics of basketball and later became a professional player.
Daniel loved playing soccer at first, but his parents wanted him to switch to basketball. Because of his brother, Frank, he aspired to be a basketball player. Daniel accompanied his brother to all of his games.
Daniel eventually shifted his focus to basketball. Daniel joined Braunschweig’s second division team at the age of 18. Thus, his basketball career began right then.
Daniel Theis’ Professional Career
Daniel Theis had never been exposed to an intermediate level of basketball. He directly joined the Basketball Bundesliga, the top-level league in Germany.
The Phantoms Braunschweig was the first club he joined, where he stayed from 2010–2012 and played alongside his brother. He was a recipient of the Most Improved Player of the Year Award in 2011.
