Biz Stone’s real name is Christopher Isaac Stone. He was born on March 10, 1974, in Boston, MA.
He went to Wellesley High School, for his initial studies. Later he attended Northeastern University and the University of Massachusetts Boston but didn’t graduate from either.
Biz Stone’s Career
Biz Stone worked as a creative director at Xanga, from 1999 to 2001. In 2003, he joined Google and worked there in a senior leadership role for two years.
In March 2006, Stone along with Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, and Evan Williams co-founded Twitter. And was launched in July of that year.
He later left the company but holds the parent of inventing Twitter, along with Dorsey.
In 2014, he founded Jelly, a search engine application, along with Ben Finkel. He was the CEO of Jelly until it was acquired by Pinterest in 2017.
Apart from Twitter, Stone is an angel investor and advisor to several startups in various industries including Medium, Slack, Square, Nest, Pinterest, Beyond Meat, Faraday, and Intercom.
He is a board of directors at Medium, Beyond Meat, Polaroid Swing, Jelly Industries, and Workpop. He is also a chairman of Polaroid Swing.
Stone has directed a short film along with Ron Howard and Canon USA, “Evermore”, for the project “Imaginat10n”.
