Aaron Holiday’s real name is Aaron Shawn Holiday. He was born in Ruston, Louisiana to Shawn and Toya Holiday, who were both college basketball players at Arizona State. In 1982 his mother was named Pac-10 Player of the Year.
Aaron attended high school at Campbell Hall in Los Angeles. As a freshman, he averaged 24.3 points per game. As a junior, he averaged 28.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and was named the Los Angeles Daily News Player of the Year.
As a senior, he developed as a player, becoming more team-oriented. This lowered his average but improved the overall team average.
